Psalm 136, Matthew 9.9-13 — God demonstrates steadfast love (hesed) toward us through highs and lows, that we might glorify God and bless others.

Psalm 98 — We rejoice because of God’s merciful and compassionate salvation and judgment.
Matthew 5:7 — God blesses those who are merciful with mercy.
Micah 6:6-8 — God desires our faithfulness, expressed in acts of mercy, justice, and humility.
