Songs for Every Season (Psalms)
Psalms offer us words (prayers, reflections, songs) for every difficult season of life including the current challenge related to the pandemic. In this series, we will look at a number of Psalms that address times of grieving, impatience, being afraid, struggling, and feeling weak and weary. We end (on Pentecost) with a theme of deliverance.
Psalm 124 — Pastor Robert talks about justice and events of the day in light of the Exodus, Psalm 124, and Pentecost.
Weak and Weary
Psalm 102 — Honesty about our human experience brought before a faithful God produces hope for the present and future.
Psalm 33 – Worship helps the struggler perceive and experience God’s help and hope.
Psalm 27 — A look at the resources God offers to live in the midst of fearful times.
Psalm 13; John 20:23-29 — Scripture invites us to bring every human emotion (including impatience) to God in prayerful hope.
Psalm 6; Luke 24:13-32 — God welcomes and meets us at different stages of grieving, ever faithful and merciful.
