Jesus Among Us
Using scenes from the first few chapters of the Gospel of Mark, we will look at Jesus’ ministry among humanity to better understand how we are to minister to others here on earth.
Joyful Thanksgiving
Psalm 100 — This Psalm of Thanksgiving describes how knowledge of God leads to worship, service, witness, and joyful thanksgiving.
Obedience Multiplied
Mark 6:33-44 — In the Feeding of the 5,000 Jesus shows how God provides as we obediently seek Him.
A Debt of Love
Luke 7:36-50 — Jesus teaches a Pharisee about the meaning of love and respect.
Peace in the Boat
Mark 4:35-41 — Jesus calming the storm has a number of lessons for modern-day disciples.
Seeds
Mark 4:1-25 — Quay Youngblood teaches on the Parable of the Sower.
Purposeful Rest
Mark 2:23-3:12 — God has gifted humanity with an invitation to Sabbath rest.
Dinner Church
Mark 2:14-22 — At a dinner party Jesus lives out and illustrates his authority to forgive sins.
The Body, the Soul, and the Lord
Mark 2:1-13 — We follow a Savior who has the authority to forgive sin as well as to heal and make whole.
Words and Actions
Mark 1:29-45 — We see a day in Jesus’ life, full of proclaiming and demonstrating the Kingdom of God as well as withdrawing for prayer.
Kingdom, Call, & Sign
Mark 1:14-28 — Jesus came to preach and demonstrate the Good News of the Kingdom and to call believers to follow him into the world.
